Small LGBTQ+ London Wedding

This years Weddings have been truly gorgeous, and Jay and Jess’s was no different.
I got the chance to meet them both when Jay proposed to Jess at a photoshoot that we’d planned to get Jess to, and it was so sweet and lovely, and they were both a joy and such a pleasure to meet. I then had them model for me last year, at an LGBTQ+ Wedding workshop that I run, getting a little glimpse into their Wedding.

I was thrilled when they booked me for their actual Wedding, being able to photograph LGBTQ+ Weddings is so wonderful to me, and this one was so sweet and full of love.

I met them before the ceremony with a team of Brides-people, and the lovely venue of York House, which has a lovely registry with amazing grounds close to the Thames, in Twickenham. The ceremony was also being filled for “Don’t Tell The Bride” as Jess and Jay had been working with Tan France on the newer series, so of course their dresses were wonderful.

Having two people in Wedding dresses is always so lovely to see, and I love how much these two looked so good together, but were different and worked well for each of them too. Feeling great in your dress with shine through on your day and therefore in your photos.

Having a 3 hour coverage for this gorgeous couple meant I was able to capture their ceremony, lots of lovely group photos with friends and family, as well as couple portraits around the lovely venue. As well as this I joined them as their reception venue for a while, where they hired a room of a nearby pub, this meant it was so chilled and such a buzz.

The guests that attended the wedding were all so lovely, and such a true support and team for Jess and Jay. With amazing Brides-people on both sides that had such a connection and love for them both. Wearing a mint green colours of different dresses, suits and jumpsuits, which all showed their personalities so well.

With smaller coverage Weddings I always get such a vibe of the couple always making sure they put themself first, truly think about what they want and make that their day. We know by now I’m all for only making traditions part of your day if they work for you, and you know why you want them, that’s so different to “having” to do things because it’s your Wedding day.

If you think I’m the right person to photograph your small London LGBTQ+ Wedding then I would love to hear from you

Thank you so much for letting me photograph your day Jess & Jay
