Pooh Bridge Proposal

Being asked to capture a proposal for people you know and have already shot with is extra wonderful and exciting. I am already personally involved and it feels so lovely to be trusted with such a photo session.

I first met Arlo & Rosie last year and have since kept up with their life through their amazing IG page, sharing information and helping the community.
Arlo then reached out later last year to arrange a photo shoot to capture them proposing to Rosie, at Pooh Bridge in Sussex. Obviously it was a big yes from me!!

We decided that we’d do a impromptu photo session, joining them on their trip here, and then Arlo would propose when we got down to the bridge.

Wedding proposal on Pooh Bridge

We took photos on our walk to the bridge to add to the photoshoot story, and after searching for sticks [to play Pooh sticks, of course!] I got them both into position and made some excuse about camera settings to keep them facing away from each other….

Of course Rosie said yes!!! I never take for granted that I get to do this as my job, for the LGBTQ+ community to have not only a safe space and photographer to capture their love but also one that’s an awesome photographer and cares about every love story.

I took some time hanging back to see reactions with all the shock and adrenaline everywhere, it’s always such an amazing moment… I can confirm there were tears behind my camera.

This was honestly the most lovely few hours with Rosie, Arlo (and Roo).
