Hey! I’m Pril

I joined the team back in 2024, As a film photographer of over 10 years with a passion for the creative and the chattiness from a life of customer service. This merge to become a wedding photography duo just felt so natural for us as photographers who were already partners in life.

When I met Steph (someone who really saw my potential) my personal & photography journey really took off, into this beautiful, fulfilling, creative and rewarding career I have today and I couldn’t be happier.

Also as a now newly engaged couple we are even more excited to be part of your day, we just get it!

Hey! I’m Steph

I’ve been photographing Weddings for 10 years, and went full time in 2021 (what a wild time!)
After coming out later in life, my eyes really opened to how cis-het normative the Wedding industry is and since then I’ve been working on making this space more inclusive and showcase all love.

Being able to focus on LGBTQ+ & feminist weddings means we can truly be ourself and therefore capture your love in the best and most authentic way.
I’ve fallen in love with film photography more recently, and now also offer wedding videography too.

We’re Stephanie Dreams Photography

You would of had a call with one of us, more than likely that’s who will be photographing your day. However sometimes you may see both of us, if you’ve added a second photographer, film photography or videography. We also use a few talented & inclusive second photographers and associates that you may get to meet depending on what wonderful things are happening on your day!

By your final call we’ll be able to tell you who exactly is photographing your day

What to expect

We’re an inclusive and diverse Wedding Photography duo, ready to capture your day in the way you want it to happen.

We’re not here for traditions, we love something casual, relaxed and fun that really sums you up as a couple.

We’re so glad you've booked us and we’re so excited to be photographing your day.

Closer to the time we'll talk more about the timeline of your day and what you'd like captured, but for now if you need us or have any questions at all then please just email.

On the day we’ll be ready to capture everything and anything, each smile or laugh, every tear or emotional hug. We'll talk about what's important to you and make sure you have a great time whilst getting awesome photos of the day.

Documentary Wedding Photography

What does it mean?

As we mainly focus on documentary style as wedding photographers & videographers. We want to give you the most natural, candid and authentic gallery. We want you to be fully involved in your day, together, with friends & family and the joy and love that comes with it. Being able to see the connection between you & truly capture the story of the day.

We pose very little, although may direct slightly to get the most out of your images.

We may not do the same thing that your cousins photographer did (a whole hour for groups, yawn), but we always think about your full gallery and the story of your wedding day in everything we capture.

We’re still really keen on working collaboratively, so if you need more direction or have ideas of your own we’re so down for that too!

Dance like no one’s watching

From our photography you'll see a natural, intimate and authentic style, capturing emotion and love.

Although we will ask you to pose a little, we’re here for all the raw and real moments.

We really just look for the love, connection and emotion within the images we capture. Our editing style is a little darker with muted and warm tones, We work with natural light as much as possible, and rarely “photoshop” images as it’s really important to document your day how it happened.

We are documentary photographers 80% of the day, meaning we won't be posing you to get a certain shot whilst getting ready or that your parents think you need. We simply capture the real life of your day. However we love collaborating on ideas & thoughts you might have about your wedding photography. We’re keen to direct you if you need & work on images that you’d love in your gallery.

Group shots are where this changes the most, to get those stand and smile moments with friends & family, although we do love to do some fun and silly photos with your wedding party too.

Wedding Day Tips

GIVE US YOUR TIME

The main thing we need on your Wedding day is time, we don’t want you to feel rushed as your day will honestly go by so quickly, so planning & chatting through your time with us is so important, for you to not only get the most out of your day, but so we can we get those story telling shots too!

Making sure you get the right timings for your day can really help it flow nicely, not feel rushed and be sure to get the best from your photos.

DO WHAT'S IMPORTANT TO YOU

As relaxed photographers, the best thing we can suggest is doing things on your Wedding day for you. Ask yourself why you're cutting the cake or having a first dance, challenge gender norms & think beyond traditions.

There’s so many ways to enter your ceremony, schedule things through the day or have people involved, but the joy is you can make those decisions and do what’s important to you.

CANDIDS, DETAILS & LOVE

We always focus on a few things through the day, with a camera in hand almost all day. Candid photos, those natural shots of you and your guests and you generally having the best time are always high on our list. As well as this we will make sure we capture all the little details, that you've spent time and/or money on.

Laughing, crying, love and emotion is what will drive our images.

LIGHT IS IMPORTANT

We’re true light chasers, so we’ll be looking for the gorgeous spot as you’re getting ready, keeping curtains open, running after the golden hour and moving you to the best place for group shots.

You can think about ambient light through your day, as well as what daylight you may have. From October, candle lit dinners are the best, fairy lights can help so much, and we’ll be making the most of any daylight hours when it comes to winter too.

authentic & emotive joy to add to your wedding day analogue photography is a great way to add the perfectly imperfect to your day. With a touch of nostalgia and lots of authentic joy.

Authentic & emotive joy to add to your wedding day

There’s a few ways to add on film photography to your Wedding gallery, offering rolls of film, a full day or even specific film wedding photography packages too.

With a gorgeous mix of 35mm and medium format photography we’re able to give you those beautiful, timeless moments that just add so much to a gallery.

Love your parents wedding photos, want something that feels like a holiday album or just adore film photography for how cool it is?

MORNING PREP

Usually we’ll arrive 1.5/2 hours before the ceremony, if you're getting ready at the same location or together then we can obviously cover you both, otherwise we’ll confirm who will be covered for getting ready photos. It's always great to be ready around 30mins before the ceremony

CEREMONY

On average this is around 30 minutes

CONFETTI & CONGRATULATIONS

15-20 Minutes

GROUP SHOTS & DRINKS RECEPTION

It's best to have 2 hours for this, group photos will take 30-45 minutes however we want you to spend time with your guests too.

Your couple portraits will also usually be done at this time, although later in the evening may work too depending on your timeline and time of year that you're getting married.

WEDDING BREAKFAST & SPEECHES

2 hours, try to time food & speeches well, its not ideal to be eating during speeches. This can create messy tables, half full mouths & staff walking around ( Before or after food works well)

CUTTING CAKE

10 minutes

FIRST DANCE & DANCING

5 minutes & then we’ll stay for a few songs after SO STAY ON THE DANCE FLOOR!

WANT THE BEST CONFETTI PHOTOS?!

Use paper circle confetti

This is the confetti to use for the best photos, it flies & falls perfectly, the colours pop & it’s so much fun. Most are eco friendly and really the only way to get the most awesome confetti shots.

Never too much

Buy more than you think you need, having enough is crucial for the shot. Most companies will sell per person and they know what they’re talking about- so don’t skimp.

Organise & Timings

Be sure that someone is in charge of the confetti, that the venue know you’re going to be having a confetti throw and there is time for it.

Walk slow & enjoy it

my gosh, it’s so much fun! don’t rush it, stop for a kiss or a dip and enjoy it.

Cant’ have paper confetti?

Bubbles are always the best option, get bubble guns & give them to 2/3 people

Confetti we love

Newlywed Portraits

Couple Portraits are our FAV!

But don't worry we won't ask for too long with you, although we do find most couples enjoy the time away.

We’ll usually take 20-30mins with you, and most of the time they can be done through the drinks reception (just before you get called in to take seats for food).

If the evening weather and light are pretty then we could do some in the evening too.

A lot of our couples mention feeling awkward or not comfortable in front of the camera, so you're not alone if you feel that way. However, as your personal cheerleaders we’re here to make you feel comfortable and wonderful. We'll head for a little walk and just capture photos as we go, it's all super relaxed and we don't expect you to be models.

We choose to direct rather than fully pose, meaning we can capture those gorgeous natural reactions. We promise only 1 or 2 stand and smile... to keep the family happy!

You'll notice a lot of walking shots, laughing and being silly, getting intimate and expressing your love- whatever that looks like to you. When you realise we’re just a third [or 4th] wheeler and no one special you'll soon get into how we work and hopefully enjoy this part of the day too

“Steph was amazing and I would highly recommend securing her for your wedding! Me and my wife don’t love being the centre of attention or posing for photos but we felt so comfortable around Steph. Steph went above and beyond to make sure she captured every part of our day and the results are amazing. I love every single picture taken, they are all stunning. We were also amazed with how quickly she managed to get a few shots over to use the day after the wedding - I think we had 25 shots sent to us within 12 hours of her leaving the venue! We shouldn’t have been surprised though because throughout the whole process Steph was so communicative and responsive.

Thank you so much Steph for being part of our special day 💜🧡🌈”
